Pakistan Cricketer Mohammad Nawaz Banned After Positive Cannabis Test
Mohammad Nawaz, an all-rounder of the Pakistani national cricket team, has been banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for three months due to his test results being positive for Carboxy-THC (a metabolite of cannabis). Nawaz admitted that he violated the terms of use of drugs, but proved that he used it outside sports and not for any sporting purposes. His ban was counted from May 1. Due to his voluntary provisional ban and rehabilitation program, the rest of the suspension is terminated. Nevertheless, his records from the games that he played since February 7 until May 1 are annulled.
